This just in, the New Car Advertising website giant TrueCar.com, has just been hit with a 250 million dollar lawsuit, The details of the suit seem to be, that it is a class action suit brought to be, by 117 New Car Dealers across the country.
The lawsuit, stated by the class action of New Car Dealers, claim that TRUECar.com, has made False / Misleading advertising claims, by leading consumers to believe that once on the website TRUECar.com, they can print a voucher, giving the consumer, a FINAL Sales Price for there NEW Car, and that all negotiations are done. The New Car Dealer class, propose that is just not the case, that TRUECar.com, can be used as a guide, but many of the details regarding the negotiation of the FINAL Sales Price of the New Car, has to simply be left up to the Sales Staff at the New Car Dealership.
TRUECar.com has responded with one simple quote:
We will vigorously defend the lawsuit and our business practices and we expect to be fully vindicated.
In response, TRUECar.com recently published a press release stating that all of the claims of the New Car Dealers, are merit less, and maintain there position, that they compete with all NON TRUECar.com dealers, in a fair and just manner.
TRUECar.com, also re-iterated in the press release, that this lawsuit is between New Car Dealers and TRUECar.com, and that no consumers are involved in this lawsuit at this time. Also stating that the Car Dealer Legal Giants at DealerLaw.com, had approached the 117 New Car Dealers involved in the Lawsuit to begin proceedings against TRUECar.com by way of an advertisement directly, seeking New Car Dealers to join this lawsuit.
